A dreamwork session is a sacred encounter of collaborative partnership between you, the dream, and myself. Every session is different as the dreams are and the dreamer is honored in how deep and in what they desire to walk within the dream.
Within relational dreamwork we will enter the dream story in whatever form it comes as a full story, a moment, a feeling or image with curiosity and openness. In the beginning the dream’s story is told either by the dreamer or myself. We will search the dream’s landscape, its characters, and the unfolding narrative for the places of energy that connect the dreamer to feelings, associations, and memories. It is here we are guided to explore what arises and how this mirrors the waking life. The unique cultural, spiritual, physical, and personal traditions and experiences of the dreamer are weaved in the ways we understand and work with your specific dream.
We will observe patterns and links to the past, present, and future and engage those places with dialogue and awareness noticing what comes up and giving voice to the dream and the dreamer’s wisdom. We will discover the support that arises in the dream to hold space for the hurts and ways we have navigate waking life that do not serve or keep us from wholeness. The guidance of mythology and archetypal energies are applied to further uncover the lineage of stories that touch at our deepest places of connection to waking life.
We hold tenderly the places that are opened around wounds and the ways that we have come to hide ourselves in the world. The dream often offers guidance to teach how these energies can be held with compassion and tenderness.
A Dream Practice…
creates the space for energy to move within us…bringing a greater sense of awareness, creativity, embodiment, and connection in our daily lives.
As the session comes, to a close we will bring to the surface those places in our work that the dream offers insight, support, and guidance.
And with this information a daily practice is revealed that can assist you in embodying the dream’s guidance. I called this a dream practice.
The purpose of this is to anchor the dream’s wisdom within our body, mind, and consciousness. A practice is an expression of the wisdom, a statement of desire, and a gesture. By working with this practice on a regular basis the dream’s guidance begins to shift our sense of being internally and externally.
This practice can be brought to life through creative expression of movement, art, music, ritual, writing, visualization etc. Rituals and exercises are often designed to support and enhance your dreamwork practice.
Experiential Dreamwork Theater
Relational String Group Work
Relational String Group Work is an approach to working with dreams in an intimate group setting where the dreamer with support from others enacts their dream story. One of the most powerful ways to accept the invitation of the dream’s story is through enactment by getting up and acting out the dream. Using active dream theater, the energy, feelings, story of the dream can be brought to life, engaged on a relational level and physically embodied. The dream can speak to and receive voice from aspects, the story and begin opening to the essence of our soul selves. Exploring the with the guidance and direction of one or two dreamwork facilitators.
I offer diverse opportunties and styles of working with individuals in group. One form involves working with a dream moment with each member in the circle. Another is to practice the “lightening” or “if it were my dream” process created by Robert Moss. Utilizing the relational dreamwork methods I can adapt a group experience to various type of and numbers of dreamers.
